Trying to get a sense of really how good or bad this tranny is. Soooo,
Year and Truck
Mileage
Driving type (lots of towing or daily driver etc)
Problems you've had
Example:
2001 3500
67,000
Daily driver, towing car on trailor twice a month
Tranny went out at 47,000..........tranny is perfect, tranny slips like crazy, tranny is great/crap
You get the idea, thanks!:)

1996 Std cab long bed SLT CTD Auto.
132,196 mi
Bought 3rd hand. Truck is basically a "work" type truck. Just no Heavy Haulin'. Tranny operated for 6 months or so and then it would not go into OD at all. Looked at the TPS Throttle Position Sensor it was OK. Went to Bluechipdiesel in So NH. Scanned all the codes and took for a drive. Well it appears that the OD unit toasted itself. Did a complete $3.2K rebuild. I am ready for heavy haulin if needed. And the # 10 fuel plate sure allowed the CTD to come alive.
