I tried a search for this, but did not find anything good.

What do you guys use to drain your oil? I have a crappy 12qt. drain pan, but the drain nozzle cap is pretty weak and I always think oil is going to come spilling out when i am carrying it to the recycle facility. The reason I say this is because the drain nozzle is on the bottom when you carry the drain pan by it's carry-handle. What a lame design. I have seen other drain pans like this, too. I want something that is solid, has a secure cap for transport and draining at the recycle place, and has good capacity. Any ideas?

I always poured my oil into gallon jugs that I saved from the trash. Not milk jugs, I always feared them letting lose. Or dump your oil down the drain or in a hole in the back yard and dont worry :D

That would mean 10 1-gallon jugs....ummm...too many to have laying around filled with oil, not to mention transporting that many!

I use a 5 gallon pails now for my waste oil. I used to use a 15 gallon drum.

I use a Fomoto valve with attached hose and let it drain into a 3 gallon gas can while I grease all the zerts . Very clean and easy way to transport .

A large rubbermaid basin to drain and a 5gal metal bucket to transport. Big ole beat up metal funnel in between. Been using that for years.

Since my wife has a cat, (the cat came with the wife), I use the empty 2 1/2 gallon container that the cat litter comes in. That works out very nicely due to not having to change containers.

They are only good for about 1 year with old oil, then the plastic breaks down. Not a real problem though, the cat craps more often, so I always have 2 or 3 fresh empties ready to go.

Wally world has a 15 Qt'er that will do ok. I do a lot of changes on the road and bring the "load" to the nearest wally world and let them dump it. Have'nt lost to many "drops"
