At what temp is it safe to shutdown? I have been idling to 290F then shuting down.

My dmax gets hot quick, like 6 seconds at level 3 and its at 1350. Is that because of the stock exhaust-cat-muffler? I have an uni filter on the intake side but the rest is stock.

It would be nice to have a turbo housing temp pyro. That way you would know where you stand and when to shutdown.

The P51 mustangs had water injection at the turbo intake for power and cooling. It added 400 ponies to the merlin RR engine.

I wait to shut down until the exhaust temp is less than 400 (what I also do with my cummins engines). I too run program 3 when I don't tow on the attitude but have never seen temps as high as yours. I did manage to hit 1100 once when I had to prove a point with someone on level 5. I do run the banks cat back system as the stock muffler is highly restrictive. I also have the uni filter.
