I would like some replies from the experiences of some of the members about this.

I use Baldwin filters in my truck and I just recently replaced the air filter. While doing so I decided to drill 5 1 1/4" holes in the air box on the same side as the head light (swiss cheesed the air box).

Has anyone out there noticed anything positive about doing this? I think that it is mental but my truck jus seems to run better. Can't wait to test for fuel economy.

Thanks

The gains from a swiss cheesed air box are minimal if any. You will get more airflow but the effects at best will be small. Trucks always run better with more air from experience but there was a thread on air filters, as to which is best for the truck and the stock filter was proven even though it is big and bulky. As for fuel economy, not sure. Once you run more power you forget about the fuel economy part of it and just go for more power and a faster truck.. Good luck
