: Anyone have any really COOL Rear Mud Flaps?
swatkins 08-08-2005, 10:12 PM My new 05 came with two plastic mudflaps.. While they are not that bad the dealer saw fit to rivet a 12"x16" piece of metal with his logo screen printed all over it! ( The salesman really did not know what to think when I told them I charge 200.00 a month for advertizing space on MY truck :D )
Time to remove thoses things and I was wondering about what to purchase. So far the best I have seen are black with a silver outline of the state of texas..
Seen any you really like?
Steve
Personally, "no". I want something that doesn't attach to the fenders, but looks like those duraflaps with the SS trim on the bottom. Some kind of bar or something that could be bolted to the frame or inner wheel well (not at the far back of the truck). Dunno. I haven't found them yet...
Good luck. If I can't find 'em, I'll have 'em made.
This guy is known for the best..... and they aren't cheap. He also does custom work.
His website stinks. Many different styles. You would have to call.

Duramax Dually 08-09-2005, 09:30 AM Swatkins and Lock,
I just wrote up a product review for a mudflap I bought from a company called Emkay. There are pictures of them in my signature link below. Here are some key points:
They make them for SRW and DRW applications.
Well made and designed.
They really work.
They are removable by simply removing 2 bolts.
They are installed to hitch area not anywhere on the body after the exhaust system to keep soot off your trailer.
They have an area at the bottom if you want to add a LOGO of your choice
I normally do not put so much detail but I was very impressed how they worked and protected my Boat on a vacation we just recently went on. I also like them because I am not a mudflap person so having them removable to be put away when not needed is a nice option for me. I am not sure if you are looking for permanent units or not or what your application is.
Good Luck on your search

His stuff rocks! Maybe I'll give him a call. I have more patience than Camo. I'm thinking bar mounted instead of fender mounted. Got to take care of them Saturn fenders, you know.

I have a few ideas for my own mudflaps for Jason to build.

I got the ladies at the local truck stop. They come with two bolts sticking out the back of em. I just drilled the flaps and bolted em on.
swatkins 08-10-2005, 12:40 AM MY wife is going to kill ya Saguaro :D
I have a set of Brushes that attach to the hitch for pulling the trailer around... In texas I have to have the flaps on all the time... Just had to pay 200.00 for a broken landing gear on the 5er so custom flaps are out for the time being :D

I emailed the pic of the naked lady mud flap to the wife. She wasn't very happy. She said the only naked lady on or in my truck will be her!;)
SaguaroKid 08-10-2005, 11:39 AM Oh la la, sounds better than a mud flap to me.....
Jackpine 08-10-2005, 02:07 PM I've got the same problem at my house. I like those silhouettes  and my wife hates them. Must be one of those Mars vs. Venus things. Oh well, vive la difference.
Duramax Dually 08-10-2005, 04:27 PM HOLY SCHNIKES...I like ScottsDiesels wifes mandate much better than any mudflap on the market....Helk, I would strip the truck down to a rolling gas can if she said she would do that......:exactly:

Black05Duramax 08-11-2005, 12:15 PM Here's mine... They don't bolt to the fender there is a bracket that comes down and the flaps bolt to them.

Where did you get those and how do they mount?
Kendall69 08-14-2005, 12:23 PM They are a no drill set up, tale out a couple of your OEM screws, add the plate they included screw them on and your good to go. You can get Logo'd or non logo'd - I had to go with the pimp my ride model, and blast GMC all over them. I like em.
Get them here
