They make a nice product in your list of those and have alot of users. Most use PPE or EFI tuning on this site maybe so that's a diff. story for Banks tunes but some have and talk about them. Intercooler and Air Intake/Scoop have alot of fans.

That's funny right there! Now you have 61 views. This "is" a truck forum and there are a lot of knowledgeable guys on here with good advice. The problem with your post is your title, if you would have used a title like "Looking for advice on a Banks Intercooler setup" or "Thinking of buying a Banks Intercooler setup and more, any advice?"

I looked at your post because I thought I was going to see some pictures of your Banks setup and maybe hearing about your experience using it? But what myself and sixty others got was a misleading title thinking we were going to hear all about and maybe see pictures of your experience with your Banks intercooler on your LMM. The reason you didn't get any opinions on your post is apparently because we don't have experience with the Banks intercooler setup on our LMM's.

I do have an opinion on running an aftermarket intercooler though. I had a Spearco intercooler and pipes on my 6.0L Ford, I saw about 100 degrees lower EGT's when towing. The Spearco in my opinion is one of the best built intercoolers out there. The Banks is built very nice also, a friend has one on his 6.0L and has had good luck with it after Banks fixed the problem of the boots blowing off. There are a few guys on here and other sites that like the Banks intake system. The Banks stuff is built pretty good and if you can get a decent deal on it, it will probably last a long time. Look up JBarker, a Banks vendor that works at Banks for a decent price.

I feel that anytime you can make a diesel breathe better, that's a good thing. Stay away from the K & N filter, good on gassers not so good on diesels. I bought a Banks scoop to install on my OEM airfilter to help push a little more air to it. I don't know about the Edge tuner, a lot of guys on here run them but the favorite for the Duramax seems to be EFI Live because of it's custom tuning. I am running EFI with some nice mellow tuning and love it.

Hopefully you will get some Banks experienced opinions on the items you listed and maybe JBarker chime in for you.

I run the Banks air intake/filter, superscoop and boost tube upgrade. Very happy with these. The Dyno shop I use said the Banks air intake, filter and superscoop are probably one of the best out of most of the other manufacturers. As for their intercooler, it seems the Bank's one gets high marks and is one of the least expensive ones too.

Got it all. Fits really well. Didn't notice a big drop in egt's but it takes them longer to get up there(mainly after the CAC). Intake air temps are usually around ambient. They make a nice product with very good instructions too. The CAC is kinda a pain. Gotta take grill, radiator support, headlights and some other stuff out. Good stuff though. Watch Alligator performance. I got my CAC on sale for a good deal from them.
