I have a 7.5 2500 I bought new. It has an annoying habit of dimming the radio and clock displays during the daytime so I can't read them. This doesn't happen all the time, just enough to be a real pita. Usually 2 or 3 times a day. Nothing I've done seems to help. Anybody else had this problem or know how to fix it?
Thanks

Is your automatic headlight system turning your lighting system on? Based on your dashboard brightness level setting this will dim the radio and clock as well.
Not 100% sure where the sensor is on your model, but I'd put money it's on the dash somewhere - papers or something covering it perhaps and causing your truck to think it's dark?

Thanks, Pilot - I'll check that out. I'm sure the sensor is on the dash, centered near the windshield. I Have the dash dimmer on full brightness, and yes, the headlights are on auto. I know its not that big of a deal, but it is bloody annoying.

Took truck to dealer, they checked out the problem, replaced the sensor ($113.00), now radio and clock illuminate properly.
