: just installed infinity 10, subThump
leftmy8.1 08-08-2005, 05:17 PM Just finished install using subthump single with infinity 10.1 perfect subw. Driving with alpine 600w 605 amp. 9855 alpine head unit with amp-link. was not sure about going single or dual's, but now I can say that this single is more than enough. The magnet on these sub's are hudge and was able to fit it in with no spacers. Totally a hot setup, especially with the amp link. I can control the gain, crossover and slope right from the head unit and the head unit displays voltage, temp and fan status. Driving the 4 infinity kappa's in the door with the internal amp sounds really good also after cutting out the low stuff. With the crossover set at 160hz for the kappas with a small slope is perfect.
:ro) rock on.
AndrewFessler 08-08-2005, 06:01 PM WOOT! Welcome to the thumping side of a dmax ;)
WI Huck 08-09-2005, 08:58 AM Excellent! That means two 10’s will sound awesome! I should find out tonight. :muahaha:
C.A.P 08-09-2005, 09:58 AM twins do bump into the night:rocking:
AndrewFessler 08-09-2005, 02:14 PM Oh yeah. Feel the power of twins. The right 10s in that sub-thump box will hit hard. I put some polyfill (I tihnk that is right) in mine for tighter bass.
Sometimes I wish the *bump* bump could be heard outside, but it can't. I've wanted to crank the system when pulling up to a ricer who has his system cranked and beat him on both levels, no can do.
C.A.P 08-09-2005, 02:52 PM roll all 4 windows down and let the preasure out you can hear me comming:phatyo:
BullydogPowered 08-09-2005, 03:33 PM you can hear my 8's outside the truck with the windows up and doors closed. That is playing it extremely loud though. With the windows down the bass carries forward more than to the back or sides.

if you do a sound treatment, you might be able to enjoy some of that resonance INSIDE the truck.
dozerboy 08-09-2005, 08:02 PM Ya'al sound like a bunch of punk kids:ro) Boom Reasonably even with all the sound deadening you can still hear the bass real good outside my S10. I'm going to miss that in my truck.
BullydogPowered 08-10-2005, 08:32 AM i didnt say it sounded like 2 15's in a hatchback outside the truck, you can definately tell the subs are in there. i can listen to it clear as day from outside the truck. I have noticed though that these trucks arent as tight as the 95's were. My 95 was way more solid and it was a 1500. you couldnt just barely hear the stereo from outside and when you opened the door it was like getting punched in the face.
leftmy8.1 08-10-2005, 05:10 PM the reason I went with the single is bacuase at 41 I'm more concerned with what it sounds like inside the truck and less concerned with what it sounds like outside the truck. Plus I don't swerve all over the road everytime I see some girls trying to find my best thump song. haha, still got some good boom though.
I am really impressed with the infinity single plus I still have all of my rear storage.
BullydogPowered 08-10-2005, 05:57 PM im sure it sounds good leftmy8.1....4 8's which is what i have are mainly for sound quality too....they sound very good, but on the right note will make you think they are 12's.

I'm with you on that leftmy8.1. Do they only make one 10" box? Does your seat still lay flat? Did you put the box on the long seat side or the short seat side? thanks.
dmax0412whiplash 08-12-2005, 12:00 AM Is it better to go with the dual voice coil infinitys for a dual 10 sub thump? Kind of confused on whats best and how to wire it.
