I recently noticed that my brakes started to pulsate..so I took my front rotors to shop to get them check to see if they are worped and if posible get them cut but they told me they can cut them down but it will not remove the worp all the way....

my real question is that for not too much more I can get cross drilled rotors for the front and back would you go that route or stick with regular ones and what would be the advantage plus would I need special pads for them....since I have not done too much brake stuff ..thanks for the imput

right now I got 80k km

Cross-drilled look pretty... Most manufacturers won't warranty a cross-drilled rotor against warpage. Have you had your ABS system checked?

From the NAPA website, regular rotors look to be about $72 a piece. If you know your partsguy really well, you should be able to get them for cheaper than that.

nope I have not check the abs but it does not seem that the pump turns on since there is not much pulse unless abs has different stages of abs power....thanks

Hi Neo
I have a 97 with 325.000 km. I'm on the third set of rotors. The 2nd and 3rd set were respected name brand rotors but they still warped. I see you drive an 03. I'm disappointed GM has chosen not to design a decent set of rotors as yet.
I got some feed back from others on the forum who have stated they have had good success with Power slot rotors at ~ 100 (usd) each. Also I've been advised raybestos makes something called brute stop. They aren't cheap however. Rotors pads and labor were $950 (cdn) at Kaltire.
Godd luck finding something that works.
Now that the 06 is out and is bragging a big increase in power, I hope to solve my problem buy finding an 05 or 04 cheap and have an exhaust brake installed.
