My truck is making the most infuriating noise. It sounds like there is a mouse or bird in my dash, squeking every few seconds. At least I think its in my dash. It happens when at idle, full throttle, cruising, whenever. It only happens a couple times a week but when it does the truck is undriveable its so obnoxious. The noise almost sounds electrical, but its hard to put my ear to the dash while driving so I don't know. My blowor motor resistor has failed and ive only got 3, 4, and 5 on the fan settings so I was wondering if this could be related. Let me know what yall think cause Ive got a 3000 mile pull coming up next week and I dont want to listen to the chirping. Thanks in advance!

It could be the bushing on the blower motor. I've had one of those go on me before and it sounds awful, but after a minute or so or turning the sound goes away. Could be a place to start.

X2 - sounds like a blower motor to me. Those things can be intermittent and they'll drive you absolutely nuts.

I've got the same problem. It sounds like 2 pieces of clean rubber moving against each other. It is very annoying. I can turn off the A/C blower and it's still making the noise.

My blower motor does the same thing but it does it just turning the key and last for 30-45 sec or so

If it's the blower...you could turn off the fan and turn on recirculate, and it should stop right?
Just a thought as that should keep the fan/motor from spinning

My hunch is a failing recirculation actuator.
Only sure fire bet is to pull the HVAC/ECAS fuse under hood (kills the HVAC) or unplug that actuator (kills just the recirc actuator). The actuators are live when the truck is running regardless of whether the HVAC is on or not.
The Recirc actuator is deep behind the glove box.

Any updates? My 05 ccsb is doing the same thing.
