: Chrome exterior mirror cover part number....
TheBac 08-08-2005, 02:40 PM I'd like to replace the boring black mirror covers on B.B.T. with the chrome ones like on my old '02 B.R.T.
Who knows the part number for said covers? I know someone out there in Diesel Land has it....
Please don't force me to call the dingbat in the dealer parts dept....please....
partsguy662 08-08-2005, 02:47 PM ...you could ask a friend to call the local dealer for you :D
Max Power 08-08-2005, 02:59 PM There are aftermarket companies that make stick on chrome cap for the mirror. They look not ~too~ bad but they are stick on.
TheBac 08-08-2005, 03:05 PM stick on = YUCK! -:t {shaking head} uh uh no way....:shake:
Scott...could ya? You can ask them what that '03 winter front number was, too.
OR....I could get off my duff and make a call......
Max Power 08-08-2005, 03:14 PM I feel the same way. No stick on for my truck.
jim-in-so-ore 08-08-2005, 06:21 PM I hate to tell you guys ..........BUT The chrome mirror covers are not serviced by GM parts, Meaning you can't buy just the cover. They are also stick on too. There are tabs that snap though slots plus 2 sided tape.-:t I have been told that there are aftermarket companies that make covers that fit the factory mirrors but I don't know who they are. Somebody must know.:D
Jim
TheBac 08-08-2005, 07:52 PM Jim, I called my dealer parts guy and he said the same thing. Well, now doesn't that bite! Hmmm..looks like Ebay, here I come....
Max Power 08-08-2005, 08:00 PM Don't get too far ahead of yourself Bac. If you buy that camper you will want better towing mirrors anyways.
TheBac 08-08-2005, 08:03 PM  IF is the big word in that last post, Tony. Roni is all gung-ho for that trailer. I am not.
Ha! Found a set on Ebay. Lets see if they'll send me the part number.
Max Power 08-08-2005, 08:07 PM I know lots of guys who's wives wanted campers and they didn't. They gave into their wives and now the guys like camping more then the wives. If you keep momma happy, everyone's happy ;)
TheBac 08-08-2005, 08:44 PM Shouldn't we be discussing that over in "RV"? We'll see. The guys have told me to really scrutinize the roof and appliances.
Just waiting to see if the Ebay seller will send me the part number. Maybe I'll just buy a set and post the part number when I get them.
NVRENUF 08-08-2005, 09:00 PM TheBac,
Do you need an '03 winter front cover?
TheBac 08-08-2005, 09:12 PM TheBac,
Do you need an '03 winter front cover?
Yep. Just sent you a PM.
Max Power 08-08-2005, 09:30 PM As far as the mirrors go, I believe they only put those chrome mirrors on the 02 and older. So they won't plug and play on the 03 truck due to changes in the electrical system.
TheBac 08-08-2005, 09:37 PM Ah, I know that very well, but the mirror COVERS will interchange......
I've got it "covered", Tony. Will let ya know what the part number is when I receive them.
Max Power 08-08-2005, 09:39 PM Just making sure because I wasn't sure if the covers were interchangable or not. Have fun.

TheBac 08-09-2005, 08:11 PM They also had blue, OX....but I'm NOT going to copykat you! Babe is one-of-a-kind.
And you'll notice I think your truck is cool, not sucks!
BlueOx03 08-09-2005, 08:15 PM Good on ya! I was just busting your balls...not that you need anything else busted...
It would look real sweet to paint the rest of the housing blue, then put on the chrome...
What color is BBTs interior?
TheBac 08-09-2005, 08:28 PM 922 -- pewter (almost a white) -- headliner
and
92I -- dark pewter -- everything else
Why GMC used two colors boggles me...
There's enough blue on B.B.T. but I am thinking about a set of Escalade handles. I just think $230-260 is a bit much.

johdavlang 08-15-2005, 07:50 PM Just recieved peformance products mag. I noticed they have chrome mirrors, as well as a chrome cap that your can install. From the pic you have to remove the black cap that comes w/ stock black mirror and install this chrome cap.
