I am considering buying a Edge CTS Race evo. I have a completely stock truck and was wondering if i install the race version do i need a egr block or fingerstick? Of course i would only be using the first few power levels until i get an upgraded trans.

It is recommended to install a blocker plate, but not required. The finger stick will not do any good on this programmer so go with the Race version. You can not go with the CS/CTS evolution, egr blocker plate & use a finger stick like you could with the juice with attitude. The finger stick will not work & you will see a cel light..

I have always had a blocker plate in.. In your year truck a blocker plate is not that bad to put in. The truck will thank you for it over the years...
