I just learned the hard way(4 days without DMAX) that the fuel filter vent valve(nylon bolt) breaks EASILY when over-tightened. Hence my nickname "Half-turn". I hope that I'm the only one who's done this!-:tI'll be searching the local hardware stores for a temporary fix.

Naw...thats what we're here for. Kind of a pay-it-forward thing. Glad to help.

(And I've done the trip-to-the-dealer-with-two-young-kids deal. I don't recommend it.)

Actually having two young kids around while you are at the dealer may speed up their service, just to get rid of you!:D

My best suggestion when operating these valves is to use a nut driver and remember it only needs to be snug. The alternative is a LARGE bladed screwdriver that fits the slot well like the one on the end of Eric/My WIF sensor wrench.

I second this. Buy a nut driver and keep it in the glove box. If you are a burly type of guy, use two fingers on the nut driver when tightening to just snug it down.

Just buy DMaxalliTech's WIF wrench....its a nice all-in-one tool, and he has a bunch of them. Help a DP vendor out....
