guybb3 08-09-2005, 06:09 AM Come on Mr. T, we are suffering waiting for an answer:muahaha:
MrTailLight 08-09-2005, 11:20 PM sorry for the delay fellas! i took off to Orange County Choppers after the Carlisle show (for my boy, if you believe that one) and got home 2AM Tuesday.
well 93 Burrito watched as it took place, and we were both dissapointed in the numbers. dont think the Dyno machine was running even close to correct.
old readings 10,000% stock grandpa looking ride with 170K on the motor:
141 HP @ 343 Torque
all the updates in the signature and 208K on the motor (and a faulty dyno machine)
199.6 HP @ 339 Torque
i was quite dissapointed in the read out, so i founf the fella that ran before me and he was also not happy with his numbers, and the diesel that ran right after me (if i got this right) did not get a Torque reading.
anyone have a Dyno close to Columbus Ohio? i am dying to get this machine loaded on one soon.
thanks for showing up with a Camera 93 Burrito, i did not get one the entire week till i got to see the Fire Bike at OCC, then i broke down and got a camera!! it was very nice meeting you as well.
SnowDrift 08-10-2005, 07:38 AM Mr Taillight,
If you happen to find one around Columbus, let me know. I'd be interested in going down with you to try to run mine.
SnowDrift
Billman 08-10-2005, 09:10 AM 200RWHP is a decent number.
Much more believeable than other claims posted here from time to time...
guybb3 08-10-2005, 09:38 AM Ya but his torque actually went down. dyno was afu
93_Burrito 08-10-2005, 10:12 AM I had never seen a dyno operator take the vehicle from stop to mashing the pedal down and revving up to max, then calling that a run. Each run took about 3 seconds.
Last year at Carlisle, the operator (must have been someone else) probably rev'd a truck through each gear over 10 to 15 seconds.
With MrTailLight's mods, I can believe the HP rating or say it's at least in the ballpark. But the torque was way off. Unfortunate...
There's a shop in Dillsburg (20 minutes from Carlisle) that has a dyno. Steve, didn't know when you were heading home... should have run it by you anyway. I'm pretty sure that shop charges the same as the dyno at Carlisle.
Anyhow, nice meeting you as well. Good luck with your next dyno run.
gmctd 08-10-2005, 01:38 PM As HP went up, and resultant rpm, torque would've dropped some..................
MrTailLight 08-10-2005, 02:37 PM maybe, but it should have had more HP as well. the truck is full of mods, and great mileage, & good air flow.
if the dyno was running correct, i might have more braggin rights LOL
93_Burrito 08-10-2005, 03:11 PM MrTailLight,
I'm trying to digest the way you posted your HP and TQ numbers. Did the dyno printout state that you made 339 TQ at the rpm you reached 199.6 HP? If that's so, then I'm onto gmctd... your peak TQ number would have been at a lower rpm and the HP reading would have been lower.
How's that printout look? I forget. Maybe you could scan it in and share with everyone...
nvmtnlion 08-10-2005, 04:45 PM You mean adding a chip WON'T give me 9000 RWHP???
:lol::muahaha:
200RWHP is a decent number.
Much more believeable than other claims posted here from time to time...
robabner 08-10-2005, 05:03 PM There is a place here in Columbus that has a dyno Idont remember the name off the top of my head but I have it around here somewhere. I will post when I find it.
94blazer6.5 08-10-2005, 05:09 PM You mean adding a chip WON'T give me 9000 RWHP???
:lol::muahaha:
No not 9000 RWHP it only 900 RWHP with the chip and a small fan blowing on the intake. Really I seen it my myself, It my friends, sister, ex-boyfriend, stepdads, old boss, wifes, uncle, son. :D ):h
nvmtnlion 08-10-2005, 05:21 PM Oh! The rest of the power and fuel economy comes from the magnets that you place on the fuel lines!!
MrTailLight 08-11-2005, 12:28 AM i think i got most of the power from changing the oil on my air filter......NOT!
Firefighter 08-11-2005, 10:45 AM A set of High Speed exhaust bearings will help tons too!:anitoof:
nineD5wonton 08-12-2005, 04:48 PM wow, someone else from Dover, PA! Small world. I was up at Carlisle also, guess I missed the Dyno run. I was watching the rock crawling. Have to catch up w/ ya sometime Burrito!
