One thing I miss about my suburban that my HD doesn't have is the lighted vanity mirror in the sunshade. I just came across one from Escalade / Avalanche for cheap here: http://www.gmpartnumber.com/Avalanche-or-Escalade-Sunshade-15269596,name,100074,auction_id,auction_details.
My interior is pewter, but do you guys know if the texture of this would match my 05 Silverado? Also, any idea how hard it would be run the power to this so it lights up?
Thanks

I can't answer the colormatch portion of the question, but I can tell you that the light hook up is a piece of cake. I snagged a set of visors from a '06 Sub and put them in my truck, along with the Home Link equipped upper console. Really nice to have the added light from the visors. Hope this helps.

Where did you find / tap into power? Did you have to run it through the A pillar?

Yup. I tied them together at the driver's side A-pillar, and tapped into the large junction box at your feet. Make sure you get all the parts, as you'll have to cut additional holes in your headliner to mount the lighted visors. The Tahoes/Subs have a plug and cover to go over the unused hole.

Sounds pretty straight forward. Not that good with electrical though. Am I correct to assume that you just need to splice into a constant Pos and just find ground somewhere?
