Have the new 4500 with LB7, and the fuel filter is on the drivers side, doesn't look like the ones used on the pick-up truck. It has a water drain on the bottom, and one wire for water in the filter warning. Has anybody ever seen this type of filter before? And is it better than the one in pick-up truck? Thanks, Animal

Everything looks the same to me but the filter can is matt black. Even the head unit and WIF sensor and drain.

Is it on the drivers side or the passenger side? The text above indicates the passenger side, which is the same as the 2500/3500 trucks.

The filter and filter head looks the same except for color as mentioned above.

Hi, yeah, the book is wrong, it is on the driver's side. Thanks for the truck compliment.

I have seen these, and have concluded that GM just came up with a different place for mounting because of an interference in the 2500/3500 location. Great thought though thinking this would be a better setup. :)
