After buying my 02 Dmax I wanted to take a 5000 trip towing my 32' 5er.I decided I needed to do some maintenance.I already had my fuel filter cahnged by the stealer at a cost of $120.00.I inquired as to how much they would change my tranny fluids and filters for.Answer $200.00.
They charge $70.00 an hr.
I called my local Greese Monkey and talked to the manager. He was well informed about the Allison and even knew about the internal filter. We set a date and he ordered the parts fron GM.The manager supervised this work.
They changed the engine oil(11qts)with filter, changed the tranny filters and fluid, topped off the other systems needing fluid.
Total cost $142.00.
Next time I'm changing my own fuel filter.

Yea, you got :nutkick: with that filter change. I'd be looking for a new dealer. BTW there is always some satisfaction in doing your own maintenance. :)
