i've been lookin at lifts, mostly 6 incher's, but i've noticed some dont specify if they are only for 4wd's or both or what. give me some advice on 2wd lifts, best one, cheapest, so on...

i'm not going to be doin any off roadin, since a 2wd and all, so it doesnt have to be the absolute strongest lift out there.
thanks in advance!

Well first of all, what truck do you have, year, model etc?? That will help, I would assume that you have a dmax but still better to know before I post an answer..

If you're lifting a late model HD, you should be able to use almost any of the 4x4 lifts on your 2wd. You just won't use all of the parts in the kit.

I have done the "Torsion Bar Crank", I've done the "Green" Keys and I did the FABTEC Spindles......All I have to say is this-Don't waste your money with the spindles, you will never get it to align. Also the spindles will kick your front tire track out about 1 1/2"
I recently switched to the Cognito Upper arms with my green keys and I still have plenty of clearance for my 315/H2's. As a matter of fact, I think I still have the same height, dont know how, but I do. My front fender height is 42 1/2 inches at the center, and I have 2" blocks in the rear. It sits with a VERY slight rake from the back, which is perfect if you tow like I do.
I also now can align my truck, and it rides great!! :ro)

I had the Rancho kit (4-6") on my last HD. Once I found a good alignment shop (Absolute Suspension in Spring, TX) I had no problems getting it aligned. I went to a couple of franchise type shops prior to that and they would just align it to factory spec and the truck always pulled or had uneven tire wear.

The Rancho kit does make the front tires stick out more which I really didn't care for (the front is wider than the back stock, the kit just makes it worse). Pro-Comp makes a lift that keeps the front tires tucked in but I'm not sure how great of a kit it is or if you'll have alignment issues with it.
