OK, quick question. Again im new to diesel, but if you have the engine block heater connected is any harm done by remote start??

Absolutely no problem, if you think about it there is no air in the coolant system, so instead of warming coolant that is not moving you are warming coolant that is circulating, not that it is really going to warm coolant that is flowing. I ALWAYS leave the vehicle (truck tractor whatever) plugged in until I am ready to move it. It can only help to warm it up...
