Purely in the interest of science an Edge EZ has been installed on my ride.First things first,give wife a ride with EZ on 65 HP setting.With her back glued to seat and lips curled back asks what the big deal is,I was smiling so bad I could not respond!Leave wife home for Saturdays experiments.With EZ on 30 HP setting where I plan to do the bulk of my driving the following was noted:engine fires and idles as normal even after operating temp has been reached;under light to moderate peddle,upshifts are in the under 2,000 rpm range with very brisk but smooth acceleration;seems peddle response is more in my control than before and motor actually sounds quieter;use of more peddle gets things going but is still more responsive to my input as to when I want it to upshift(rpm control),with out the EZ upshift rpm would skyrocket under moderate to heavy peddle;going down long grades(5%)with no peddle truck speed at 55mph actually gains a bit where before it would slow down to 53 mph,do not know why.Fuel mileage will be checked and compared this week as I put on approximately 400 miles on same commute I have been using for several months,will drive same as before so comparison is conducted in a scientificle manner.Pulling power will not be checked for at least a month,stay in fiver during the week near jobsite.Will post later on fuel mileage.
