well i decided to put them in today. it was a pretty straight forward ordeal. although the factory ratio is 1.70:1 and the Comp rockers were 1.72:1 i have not had any problems so far. cant say i have really felt much of a difference but im also babying it for a day or so. have pics just gotta post them hopefully soon. also ran the trick-flo push rods. they were the correct length and very nice quality.

Nice, thanx for posting photos. I am curious about the 1.8's. I had a thread going asking if anyone had installed 1.8's on a stock cammed motor and if so, did they notice a worthwhile gain. I did not get any answers.

well all i can tell is a hair bit better throttle response and the engine seems to run smoother.

I read once that the best part of replacing your stock rockers is the fact that the new ones will all match, meaning they will all be 1.7 or whatever ratio they advertise. I guess the factory rockers are not that great as far as being stamped accurately...
by the way, can I get that P/N on them rockers...I looked all over the comp cams web site and dont see it, I think they will go great with the 264 cam.

Are these rockers direct bolt in? No special nuts or anything? Are they adjustable or just torque to spec?

yes they are direct bolt in and you just torque them to 19lbft/25NM as per GM specs, as you would do with stock rockers

Interesting. I thought from the photo they were studs and adjustable nuts.

So, just triple checking here. The comp-cams roller tip rocker kit includes studs, rockers, pivot balls, and nuts, right? And they just need to be torqued down, there is no adjusting needed at all, right?

I got my cam, springs, locks & retainers here in my garage. I am really thinking of another pushrod and rocker. Most people seem to be OK w/the regular matching springs & stock pushrods. But I think the beehives are kind of new, with a lil' more pressure (when fully squashed) than the springs that used to come with the cam. I don't want to dig in to the engine again to fix broken stuff.
Thanx

no you reuse the original nuts. the rockers come with the pivot balls and nuts but you wont use the nuts supplied
