My daughters 09 Acadia was yet another victim to timing chain stretch at just 30,000 miles.The dealer had 3 come in within 2 months with same problem.Wondering if anyone knows if GM has found a cure to this problem affecting the 07 on up 3.6 L V-6.My wife wants to get a 2011 Acadia but I dont want to get hung with a $44,000 piece of junk

I think the new chains are updated, i am sure i was told that at work when we have done them…..

it is a known issue…i can check at work in the am...

get a new 11 equinox with the 3 litter…the all wheel drive ltzs are nice...

Thanks kgt,would really appreciate it if you can find out more about the failures and fixes.Have drove the 3.0 Equinox but would like a little more room.
