Everything I see out there is for an automatic tranny - anyone know of a good programmer for the DM with a manual?

Thanks!

Any programmer or harness box will work with a manual

Well, I have looked at several and see where the perf mod is also modifying shift points in the tranny - not sure what will happen if you don't have an automatic... As a matter of fact, you can't even set up the Edge Products Juice without an auto tranny according to the instructions... (unless you spring the cash for the Attitude)

Adjusting Power Levels
The Juice has four power levels.

The Juice module was designed to allow the user to select a power level for Normal
operating mode, and either the same or a different power level for Tow/Haul
mode.
NOTE: If you have the Attitude installed, the following procedure does
NOT apply. Power levels are changed using the Attitude.
1. Set the Parking Brake
2. Turn key on without starting the engine (engine must not be running).
3. Select the desired transmission mode to set the power level for (Normal
or Tow/Haul).
4. Place gear selector in the gear corresponding to desired power level
(D=4, 3=3, 2=2, 1=1, R=stock).
5. Press accelerator to the floor two times, completely releasing the pedal
each time.
6. Return gear selector to Park and start the engine.
7. Press the Tow/Haul button twice. This causes the Juice module to
"remember" the level setting for the mode.
Power Level Confirmation
To confirm the power level that is selected:
1. Place gear selector in Park with your foot off of the accelerator while
engine is idling
2. Set the Parking Brake
3. Select Normal or Tow/Haul mode, depending upon the transmission
mode power setting you wish to confirm
4. Place gear selector to reverse, neutral, reverse, then back to park. P-R-N-R-
P
5. The engine will rev to coincide with the power level selected, revving 4
times for level 4, 3 times for level 3, and so on

From what I've read on here, a lot (if not all) of the programmers are able to be used with both the automatic and manual transmissions. However, some people claim that there is touchy and jerky pedal response with some when used in a manual transmission application.

I've read that the Van Aaken box is smooth with the manual. That is what I will get when I get the bug. From what I've read, the truck really doesn't exhibit any signs that it's there, except that there is just more power, all over. These reports say that the truck drives the same.

Just what I've read. Take it for what it's worth.

Have a good one!!

Youre like 200 years old, you are beyond the point of needing glasses. Im suprised they even let you drive............:exactly:

AS for power addres with the ZF, look at the Van Aaken E. Ive got it. It comes with a 3 position switch. I love it. Dont buy anything else. I did, and was sorry.

Dyno Dominator from Bully Dog works great with my 6 speed. It works on a 3 stage toggle switch (like the Van Aaken )with 0/90/150 settings. The 90 is very driveable the 150 is the kill setting I need new clutch/flywheel to handle this setting!

Thanks guys - I'll take the info and run with it :-)

Idaho Fox - the big font comes from a cut and paste out of another doc. It looked normal when I pasted it in.

But maybe I could use some glasses now that you mention it

Yeah I just bought the HOT PPE and I mean to tell you there is no way to be smooth with it on any of the 4 settings! Even the little 70HP setting it jumpy. It's almost so bad I hate it.Censored My Hypertech was alittle bit but this one is on the verge of unbearable! But man when you want to go baby go it's all there:ro) . Which is me 75% of the time.

I too am trying to find a clutch to hold it as of now the SBC clutch is sh*t. I took it back out this weekend to send it back to peter to see what is wrong and from what I can see the clutch pads (its a butten clutch set up) are 2"X 2" (and I measured it so it is correct) and on the flywheel side 3/8" from the inside of the pad is not making contact with anything and the PP side has alittle over 3/4" from the inside of the pad is not making contact with anything and those pads are unevenly worn to boot. Mean black in the middle and barley worn on the edges. It is made of two types of friction matterial and the side on the flywheel side has had a lot wore off it at only 1500 miles. I wonder if he sent me the wrong clutch? I guess I will find out if he stands behind his products or not with week. I sure hope he does $1200 is a lot to spend to be no better of than you were before.
