I'm running a II Silver Bullet 2.6 S300. It's plenty big for stock injectors. How much improvement will I see bumping to a S480ish 2.6 turbo with 60% overs and dual fuelers. Or should I stick with the Silver Bullet and max out the turbo? Stock internals, pretty much pulling only truck.

It'd be a difference in performance...and broken parts. Stock rods probably won't hang on very long with that setup.

you are talking about about 200ish if not more hp's difference in those two setups. I had a GT4088 which is 2.53inch inducer and ran 12.64 quarter mile times and changed to a S475 with a 2.6 inducer and went 12.18. The only diff was the charger and that was a chitty high 1.8 60 foot time. That is the charger most of the big dogs ran this year in 2.6 class, gainer, davis, lee's,etc

s480 is def not a turbo for stock short block. if your not doing motor stay with the s300 as there is def. enough power avail with one to kill a stock short block. how much psi you seeing in top end of 3rd gear? you might try like 40% sticks and dual pumps with the s300.

I'm making about 35-40# on the track, it will hit 45ish on the street in 5th. Just don't have enough fuel. I'll probably stick with my current turbo and do the sticks and pumps and cross my fingers. Not going to be winning COTPC, but should be respectable at the fairs. I was thinking what you guys are all saying, sure the s400 will make the power needed, I didn't realize it was such a huge difference (~200 hp). But it will also be much more likely to destroy stuff.

i would just do dual fuelers. You will have more fuel than you need with just two pumps.

Adam, I entended to pull in 2009 and upgraded to 4.56 gears late in 2008. Than the winter of 08 did a S465 upgrade to only watch the rules change right after i did the charger to a no protrusion rule. I than upgraded to a S475 with a 2.6 cover but never hooked to the sled after that. I wanted to upgrade the rear axles and get rid of my big alumn drive shaft but couldn't afford the rule changes and a built engine. I have since gave up on pullin. I am at a point now to were i feel my truck is really to nice to be gutting/ robing the ac, heater core and box and cutting up the truck. Its only got 49,000 miles on it as it sits lol. I do miss it but feel that I need to buy another truck to donate my parts too. That and im getting married in may 2011 so funds are lacking, That and tryin to build a house also. Just to many things going on in my life right now. I will be doing it again some day. Just don't know when that will be LOL

congrats on your upcoming events( house and bride ) I know what you mean about funds . I got married had a kid and sold my old truck . then we bought a new house about 2 years ago , but I went and bought an 07 ccsb 4 months ago and hopefully it will be sledready by spring . So it doesn't take long before that bug bites you again . Maybe we'll see you on the track in 2012 or 2013 . Good luck .

Why go to Dual CP3? Just have your one modified.

Do you want to swap? If this silver 62 sells with the LB7 twin kit, and the s480 is too sluggish with a 1055, I might be looking for a 66.
