Do any of you gurus know what is different in our 1000's and the 2000MH off the top of your heads? Is the 2000MH (MH is for Motorhome I assume) easily modified? Will a transgo work?? Any ideas?

If that the one out of your new motorhome your talkin about.....im sure you wont need to do anything too it. The pushbutton selector is kinda cool. Do you plan on modding the 600?

It probably doesn't make sense to mod the motor and trans, but I won't be able to leave it alone, I take apart and tinker with everything I get, and have this impulsive desire to bomb the Cummins and beef the Allison....
It's why I fit so well in the "Band Of Idiots".

The difference is the gear ratios and the ratings, 2000 can handle higher GVWs. A 1000 is called a "close ratio" and a 2000 is a "wide ratio."

1000 2000
1st 3.10:1 3.51:1
2nd 1.81:1 1.90:1
3rd 1.41:1 1.44:1
4th 1.00:1 1.00:1
5th 0.71:1 0.74:1
Rev -4.49:1 -5.09:1

Parts are mostly interchangable between the two. Only the P3 carrier and sun gear are different.
