Horse power wars by the big 3 are nice but perhaps mileage wars are more prudent now that diesel is knocking on $3.00 per gallon. I want both.:)

I agree...
Was at Twin Lakes last week (By Bridgeport, CA) and paid $3.39 for #2. I was shocked! Was gone 5 days, when I left the station I buy from was $2.85, this morning, it was $2.99! Wow!

BIll

30 cents in the last 7 days. Where will it stop? Emissions seem to be the factor screwing up the mileage numbers. The cleaner it burns, the more fuel is used. Seems they have to sacrifice fuel for reduced emissions. Would be nice if they could do both. Gassers are looking better again. Gas here in Cal has not gone up in the last ten days as diesel has.

I think they want $4.00 fuel in the long run to put us on par with Europe.

Well, sorta close, but if you factor in the differences of litres vs gallons and Euro vs US Greenbacks, the Euro prices are higher. But these prices are still too FCensoredg high!! And what really pCensoreds me off is the fact that they literally brag about how they fleece us when they release their quarterly profits. After highschool, I spent some time working at a hi-volume highway center. My Boss told me that it takes 6 months for the price increase of oil to affect the price at the pumps. But yet, if oil goes up today, the price jumps tomorrow!!

Greedy CCensoredsuckers is all I can say!!

Take care,

Will

6 months! BS! Try one day.

Some of these gas stations might as well hire someone to sit out there during the day to change the numbers on the sign. I can pass by the same gas station three times in one day and see a different price each time.
