Bought a CTD today, I need serious advice on mild mods to give her more power. Not looking into going into the lowers or swapping turbos.. Is it as easy as bombing a Duramax??
I'll post more info when I get her home tonight..

Well, perhaps you could start by telling us what year truck you bought. Then we can give you more advice. :)

The Cummins is a 5.9L ISB rated at 300hp 600Tq. It's mated to an Allison 2000MH, and mounted in a Freightliner Chassis in a Diesel Pusher Motorhome. Word has it in the Class A MH Community that this is a good combo, but a bit anemic in the towing department, limited to a bit over 5000lbs towing capacity. The Cummins is supposed to be capable of more, but limited by the Allison's Tq capacity. I'm going to dig into her tomorrow and see how accessible the trans and motor are. I'm not beyond yanking the trans and throwing a TripDisk Convertor and a Transgo in her if I can. I have to research it some more and see what differences there are in the 2000MH and 1000 series Allisons. If I can get more capacity out of the Allison, I'd like to let the ISB strech its legs.
