Can anyone verify that the mileage stays with the cluster and not the truck. I am looking to trade my cluster for a factory one but dont want my mileage all messed us, if anyone can let me know for sure either way that would be great.

if youre putting a new cluster in it will have to be programed by a dealer to have the correct mileage

odometer accumulates on both PCM and cluster. So if you switched clusters, the PCM doesn't know the difference and the changed cluster continues to accumulate.

What do you mean by "factory one". If you are talking gauge face, you dont need to change the cluster, easy fix. I think I have a stock face laying around in the garage. What is on there now?

the one I have now is a us speed with pictures in my garage. I need new stepper motors because the trans temp gauge is messed up. Also the gear selector has a mind of its own because some days it will light up really nice and others it will barely be iluminated.

I want to replace it with the face that came on it from the factory but I really dont want to take it apart myself because I know I would mess something up.
