When I remote start my truck the Banks iQ shows Error 34? It can not communicate with the vehicle. This makes sence, since there is no key on during remote start. But once I put the key in it still has the issue unless I shut the truck off for more than 1 min and start it back up, then all is well. Is this normal? Is this a known issue?

Yeah the IQ doesn't like to be powered then de powered then re powered.
Mine will scream all the time
Then getting it to reset is a PITA

I've got the Banks IQ hooked up to my Ottomind 6. No problems with it when I remote start my truck.
I'd call Banks to see what they say. Are you running the latest firmware?

Radar,
I don't think it is just a 4th Gen thing as My IQ is in a 02. I think its the timing delay in the power down of the IQ

The iQ/six gun will power anytime there is a voltage signal from the OBDII port. The remote start would have no effect on this at all providing the OBDII port is powering up when the truck is started with the remote start. Most trucks do but some don't. The way to check is to start the truck with the remote and make sure the light on the six gun is coming on when the truck fires.

I no longer have this issue, it seems it was just because I restarted it maybe as it was shutting down or something, but resetting it was a PITA. Has been working perfect now for the past 9 days.
