They got rid of em in 03. TheBac has a retrofit kit though.

ummmmm, will have to look. As said above, the retro kit works (did it myself as a matter of fact)- but as far as the smell there is something in a spray can that you can get to spray down into the inlet below the windshield and it will "freshen" the AC coils, etc. in your heater box assembly. More than likely it is all the dust and moisture/mold in the box is what is causing the smell. Most parts stores carry this stuff....

if your 03 has it, it is just left of the blower moter behind a plastic panel with two screws in it

Geezus, dont give out incorrect information, guys. If you dont know, dont "guess".
2003s-up DO NOT have cabin filters from the factory. Period.
Here is all you need to know to install them, though. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=384555
Brad, I "retired" from making the kits.

Elimination of the cabin air filter I'm sure was at the suggestion of the bean counters.
Save GM a buck and the customer will never know the difference or care if they did know. They kept selling the trucks.

Sorry bout that. Already "retired" off the earnings from the kit? Just kidding. I know that was probably barely breaking even with such a low volume.

Oh yeah, made a fortune. Well, at least I supposedly did according to some people.
It was fun for a while but its too much time/effort for what I sold them for to make it worth while. Better to just put the info out there and tell people to DIY.

Thanks guys I'll take a look when I get home. It's not a horrid smell I just would like it to smell better than it does
