I noticed about a month ago that there was a small amount of oil collecting on the heat shield above the exhaust side of the turbo. Now it's gotten bigger (see attachment pic.). Can anyone who has seen this before give me an explantion of where this is coming from? Is it a bad gasket, line leak, cracked turbo, or what? I'm going into the dealer soon for a oil change and I am going to point that out to them.

I would like some input from y'all to make sure the dealer does not try to shoot some BS up my a$$.

Truck has around 12,000mi on it.
100% stock, No mods. :(

Thanks in advance,
jc

Yes I have!!! Funny you ask I just bought my first diesel last week it has 210 miles on it and leaking oil. First the dealer told me that it was a hose that oils the turbo and that they would need order a part. This afternoon they told me that they were replaceing the turbo "210 MILES" !!!!!!! I will post more when I find out.

Not to be rude, but how the heck did your engine get that nasty so soon?

I live 2mi down a gravel road, and the University of Missouri reports that we are on the verge of a extreme drought here in NE Missouri. No sufficient precipitation since Febuary`05. Glad I got a Silver truck.
