hi,

i'm in the final phase of purchasing my new truck (2011 Silverado 2500HD LTZ 4x4; Allison/Duramax), and after reviewing this thread wanted to get some feedback.

1st - i talked to 3 different dealerships, and the truck i wanted didn't exist anywhere within 1500 miles, so i had to order it.

2nd - i tried credit union pricing, Costco pricing, and just going to fleet managers to get my current deal

3rd - i had forgotten about supplier pricing, i just went back and submitted for it, and now have an authorization to use it.

here is my current deal (prior to #3) -

dealership #'s
msrp - 55,385
invoice - 52,149 (includes $1100 for advert/adjustments)
+351 / extra profit for dealer
my deal price = 52,500

---
kbb #'s
msrp - 54,935
invoice - 50,665

truck will arrive sometime this week, and the dealer had to order it to be custom built for me.

--

now, it appears that after getting supplier pricing that the invoice is $51,626 (or something close to that, there is a tire package i can't add from the supplier website).

reading through the string, i'm trying to determine what a "good deal" is, and am now a little confused.

Any/all feedback is appreciated.

TIA
D

two other things i want to clarify.

1 - the supplier pricing is via my credit union membership, can i still get the $2k factory cash if i use this?

2 - what have others negotiated in California for a similar truck, i have no basis of reference.

My sticker was 55,269.00 Dealer got it to 51,622.00 then a consumer cash rebate for 1500.00 to take it to 50,122.00 then they gave me a 500.00 accessory credit to their accessory store for items i wanted to add......

So i got it for 49,622.00 My fleet pricing was better than supplier pricing.

The dealer didnt know about the rebate....... i had to press them to look into it with their district rep, as the incentive did not show anywhere......

I ordered mine in April and it got delivered right after the 4th of July.

Hope that helps,
Clarke

I just ordered a truck from Sierra Motors in Jamestown, CA. (http://www.sierramotors.net)

Their website clearly states $10,000 off. I wanted a Denali with the Dmax/Allison combo, but it only applies to Silverados with the D/A combo. The truck I've ordered is a 2 wheel drive short bed crew cab LTZ with all the goodies except the sunroof - it stickered for $56,700 and they are selling it to me for $46,700 including all discounts plus tax and license fees. No other dealer in my area can touch it within $3000.

If you call them, ask for Nathan, tell him Mark sent you.
