I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY 2004 FORD 350 6 LITER DIESEL TRUCK. IT WAS RUNNING ROUGH AND LACKED POWER AFTER INITIAL START BUT THEN RAN FINE ONLY A MINUTE LATER WHEN WARMED UP. WE HAD A TESTER PUT ON IT AND SAID IT WASN'T THE GLOW PLUGS AND THAT IT NEEDED TSB 10-12-6 WHICH I BELIEVE IS A CODE THEY PUT INTO THE COMPUTER TO UPDATE OR DO SOMETHING. AFTER THE FORD DEALER IN SOUTH PARIS MAINE DID THIS YESTERDAY...REMEMBER AFTER THE FACT... THEY SAID THAT THEY HOPE IT STARTS TOMRROW MORNING OR IT WOULD MEAN MUCH MORE MONEY TO FIX IT! WELL GUESS WHAT...IT DOESNT START! WHAT COULD THEY HAVE DONE? IT RAN FINE OTHERWISE BEFORE BRINGING IT THERE ONLY AFTER A MINUTE OF WARMING UP. I NEED TO KNOW BEFORE GOING BACK TO THEM IF A CODE CAN BE REMOVED AFTER IT IS DOWNLOADED INTO THE COMPUTER SO THAT THE TRUCK AT LEASTS RUNS AGAIN. THIS IS MY ONLY WORK TRUCK AND I AM DESPERATE. PLEASE ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS!

First change the oil. Pull the egr valve out and clean it. Change all the fuel filters

Hi and thanks for your reply. But the egr valve was changed about 2 years ago. I really need to know if a code can be removed after they download it into the trucks computer?

Ford does not reverse updates done to your truck. Or so I think.

Mmmm...that's what I was afraid of. :( Just another rip off deal by a dealer! Should be an interesting "visit" tomorrow. Thanks so much for your reply. This is a great site! :)

a friend of mine has the same truck had the same problem after 3 months of frustration he finaly changed the fuel pump in the frame been no problems since on closer inspection found it full of alsorts of debre put new one on been good ever since.
