Anybody know if they changed the injector policy? My truck is at the dealer for a bad injector, and they're only replacing one.

Thanks,

Wheatfield.

Have the dealer show you the tsb and then have him show you where it says replace one injector only. I read that tsb on this site somewhere and I think it has even been updated, but I believe it says all injectors, I may be wrong. if it does not state either way I would make the dealer do all. I have an 03" and i am hoping all lb7's will be included. mine is in the shop right now getting the second set in 60k approx 30k each set.

Just talked to one of the mechanics and he says that only the passenger side is being replaced, since none of em are leaking on the driver side. They would have replaced them all if GM would let them.

Open a customer service ticket with GM and refer to the TSB. This is what I did. If you raise hell, you will get all of them replaced, especially with an 02. My truck was not throwing any codes and only one injector was sticking occassionally and I got all 8 replaced last week.

You will want all 8 done because the replacement injectors are redesigned. According to the techs here, Bosch redesigned the injectors so the seats and washers inside the them are not cracking like they used to.:ro)

Is this really the case? Did they upgrade the injectors. When I had all 8 replaced 2 months ago, my mechanic said that they were the same as the ones as He pulled out? Also, if it depends on how your mechanic rights up the problem, I had 1 bad injector, but after it was written up GM replaced all 8.

I think I have injector problems but the dealer is giving me problems. I have 39,000 mi so it should not be a problem am I correct? There is a technical service bullitin right? That means they should do the job? Bad miliage, hard starting, a ticking noise when engine is under load, decreased power when pulling the trailer.
When they start the job how long does it take??? I have got to pull that fifthwheel next weekend for about at least 500 mi.
