I have a friend with a 2008 GMC 1/2 ton extended cab 4x4. He wants to add a lift kit to level the front end out.
Is there any reason not to install one of these lifts and slightly larger tires? I would expect a negligible amount of increased wear on steering and suspension components. I would also expect decreased mileage due to higher stance and larger tires. Anything else to worry about? How much can it be lifted before CV angle becomes a problem?
Any recommendations which lift to go with? If using just coil spacers, will the shocks top out? Would something like Rancho's Quick Lift (coil and shocks) work a lot better?
Thanks for any help.
