Had the lift done this weekend. RCD 6", tie rod sleeves, Eagle Alloy 101's, BFG AT KO 315/70/71's. A few observations:

I'm really happy with it!

315's dropped the rpms about 500. I knew this would happen and was worried but its not too bad. There's actually a benefit. With the 245's on the freeway I would always be right around 80 and was right about 2500 rpm so the pilot injection was always kicking in and out which was annoying. Now at just under 80 I am at about 2000 rpm so this is not an issue anymore.

Acceleration is a little slower off the line but that's not a big deal since I'm not a racer. Just wondering what it will be like when I hook up my trailer. I will get a chip or tuner in a couple of months anyway so that will replace the lost power.

Ride quality is much better than stock. I'm assuming its the bilstein shocks.

Very little noise from the tires on the freeway. Its there but barely noticeable.

The drone I had at around 1700 and 2000 rpms is barely noticeable. It may be because the truck is higher off the ground so there is less reflected noise.

I'm in Eagle Glen just off Eagle Glen Parkway. I'm right off the Cajalco exit on the 15. I think I saw your truck at the dyno day at J&B. I like those Weld rims you have, just couldn't swing the cash to buy them. Maybe down the road...

Okay, thought you were closer to me. Am off the 91 @ Sarfas Club. I think I remember you there and think we talked about rims and lifts.

Anyway, your ride looks great. :ro)

I used to be off Highgrove and Lincoln (up near the hills) then off the 91 at Weir Canyon. (Anaheim Hills)
Now I am up here in Seattle. (40 miles outside the city) We moved up here Nov 2004.
I love it here, don't miss So Cal at all. (yet) I was born and raised in OC, thought it would be hard to adjust up here but not so far. I like my new 2300 sq ft house on 2.5 acres for $325k! (sold my little house in Anaheim hills for $665k when we moved!)

Thanks everyone. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. Now if I can just save up enough pennies for the rest of the stuff I want.....

Mark,

Where did you have the lift installed and what kind pesos are we talking about? BTW, I'm in Chino Hills . . .

The guy that did it does the installs on the side and doesn't charge much for labor. He works for RCD so he knows the kits really well and gets them pretty cheap. He lives in El Cajon so if you want him to do the install you have to take it down to his house and he will do it on the weekend. If you just want the kit he will bring it up. His email address is ryan@racecardynamics.com. Drop him a line and he will quote you some prices. He is also really good about answering any questions you'd have. If I can I will also try to answer any questions you might have.

Are you happy with your supertank? any problems? I'd really like to get one.

Mark,

Very happy with the Supertank (except I can't find a place to mount my train horn now). Me and my father installed it ourselves and after installation, all I had to rework was to put some teflon tape on one fitting. 50 gallons on a short bed, gives me at least 750 miles.
