Rumor has it that if you do not use this module, you could end up frying some electronics. That would be a an expensive gamble. The PAC is only around $90 installed. Just get it, you get your chime, you get to use your steering wheel controls and you won't have electronic problems later. :grd:

I thought there were 2 modules...one for the chime and one for the steering wheel controls??

I do not need to add an amp to my factory system... I am taking out the stock radio and speakers and adding (2) Rockford fosgate 6-1/2" in the front doors and (2) 4x6 plates in the ext doors. I have a Pioneer DEH-P9600MP that I am going to put in it as well. I have gone to the PAC website but all this is confusing. Do I get the do chime thing? Do I get the steering wheel one? I dont care about the chime nor the steering wheel control....so what do I need now?

you guys are confusing each other. It's probably the distracting avatar.
He is not needing the PAC adapter.

no, and I don't think it is possible to make them work with an aftermarket HU
