After dealing with my instrument cluster, i'm wondering does anyone have address for customer service or someone who could maybe help @ GM?? I wrote a letter years ago on another truck & they agreed to pay half. Mainly trying to see if they would pay some for the cluster. Thanks

check out ebay for the stepper motors. they are not that hard to replace and not very expensive to do yourself. I think there is a walkthru somewhere on this forum, otherwise if you google it you will find it.
When my cluster went bad, the truck was still under warranty. BUT, the service manager straight up told me that I didnt get a new unit. What they do is send them in to be refurbished, on an exchange basis. So the one in my truck now actually came out of somebody elses truck. It looks fine, but it's a used part. All they do is replace the stepper motors and clean up the faceplate, and then send them back out.
which is what most parts are…trannys….radios…engines…alts…starters…water pumps…etc….when a warranty part is installed most are reman…always have been...

Swap the steppers yourself, you would be amazed how easy these things are, just appears scary. A suction solder gun is best but I think Radio shack has solder wicks.
If you are not good at solder, take the board to any electronic or computer repair shop. They will suck off the 4 pins and dab some on the new ones. It's a 3 minute repair.
