open the bleeder on the top of the fuel filter. pump it until you have fuel coming out of it. You may have to leave it open when you try to start it for just a bit, to let out any air that may still be in the line. It also may take a little cranking to get it going.
If it stalls after you have closed the bleeder valve open it back you a little then restart. push the prime pump a few times as well. I had to leave mine open for a few seconds after it restarted. I ran out, well the better half really did in the middle of montana. but not really her fault gauge off and low fuel light did not come on. hope this helps Randy

My light just came on and I was out of fuel. I read that power boxes throw off the miles to empty. But the guage should work normal, I would think.

I ran out of fuel in mine before I ever got it home from the dealership. Turns out it had a bad sending unit in the tank. It was showing 1/4 tank when I ran out.

that is my problem too, a bad sending unit and a gauge I need both replaced

The fuel gauge is terrible, ever notice how long the tank reads half full, then it drops like a rock after it passes the halfway mark, that combined with the teeny tiny 26 gallon tank, I had to get the Transfer Flow replacement fuel tank. I tow a 5th wheel, and would have to stop so often with the 26 gallon tank as to make the trip unbearable. GM needs to get real with the Fuel Tank capacities.

My half-ton lwb GMC has a 34-gallon tank standard. That's not too shabby IMO.

LB's do. We're talking SB's. There's enough room under the bed that GM could have installed a larger fuel tank in the first place.

No doubt, since my 97 suburban will hold 42 gals.

Brado, after the fuel is coming out the bleeder screw, close it and continue to pump until the primer button is very hard to push. Should fire right up and keep running.
