I was driving down the road and the low fuel light came on. I pulled off the freeway to a truck stop to fuel up. Truck sputtered and about 2 minutes later, came to a complete stop, right as I was pulling into the truck stop. Has to push it to the fuel pump where I fueled it up. After fueling, truck still would not start. Loosened bleeder valve and primed the fuel pump, to no avail. The truck cranks but does not turnover. Seems to me like its not getting fuel. What is going on? Fuel pump?

About a year ago, the truck died and it turns out that my tank read 1/4 but was actually empty. They told me they replaced the sensor and the fuel pump (which came with a lifetime warranty) and I was good to go. Other than that, I have had no other problems with the truck. Please help! Im sure, just like everyone else, this is frustrating.

Do you run a chip? If so it could throw off your low fuel warning. Did you pump the hande pump until you got fuel out the bleeder then close the bleeder and pump until it got hard? Sounds like you ran it out of fuel and you are just having a hard time getting it primed again.

Yeah, i opened the bleeder and pumped it til fuel came out, tightened it pumped it a couple times and still nothing!

Yes i run a chip. Edge J/A. I unplugged it and there was no difference.

Yeah I'm an idiot. I didnt push it til it got hard enough and there was still air in the system. They did it for me and charged me 80 bucks. I felt like such a dumbass. They also said my battery was dead though. Oh well, live and learn...

Thanks to MaxPower and Duratys for your guy's help.

i did the same when changing both filters (stock+nicktane)....I actually had to pump it 3 times after it stalled 3x. There was probably an air pocket in the fuel line. Dont replace that battery yet....you might have brought down the power level by trying to crank it over so much.recharge it and load test it before you replace it....My factory batteries have made it almost 4 yrs now and arent leaking or are shot YET.
