My truck belt has been squeaking for several minutes at cold startup lately. I notcied this in serveral other Duramax motors I have been around too.
Is this a issue or normal?

Is this a issue or normal? It's an issue with LBZ's. A gatorback belt usually will fix it. Mine did it since day one.. wreedLBZ 11-08-2010, 08:36 PM My LB7 ranch truck does it also. As long as its normal I guess I will wait to change belt. I only have 60000 miles on my motor. Now at 30K miles, original belt, still quiet, hot or cold. After paying 48 K for the truck it sure was satisfying not to have it sound like there was a hamster on a wheel under the hood.
