for the past 3 days my truck has thrown the code P2610. I have had EFI Live in my truck for close to 3 weeks now without a problem. The 1st time i threw the code was this Saturday, when i put a new DSP5 switch in. i broke my 1st 1 because i overtightened it. so i just unhooked the negative from the batteries and did a splice right under the dash and put some solder and heat shrink on my splice. the switch worked fine after that, but thats when i started setting the code off. i cleared it and it came back later that day. i thought maybe it was because i changed my position on the switch. so i cleared the code and stayed in the same position but the CEL came back for the last 2 days. i got the switch from nick a duramaxtuner, but he sent 1 for a LLY. after emailing him i was told the switch is the same for LBZs too. so i just hooked the black on the new switch to my old black wire and the purple to my old grey. the switch works fine.
i did some reading and the code is Control Module Ignition Off Timer Performance. usually set when you load a new tune in, have your batteries unhooked too long, or have weak batteries. my batteries are only a couple weeks old.
