: flashers on left turn signal yitsock 08-02-2005, 10:32 PM So recently I had my lly reflashed. Edge/Attitude still installed. Since then, not sure if it's just coinidence, but sometimes, only sometimes when I put on my left turn signal it's turning on the flashers as well. Ever hear of this? Think the edge is causing it?:confused: Max Power 08-02-2005, 10:45 PM What do you mean turning on the flashers? The four way flashers? I doubt VERY much that the edge is causing it. Only sometimes... very odd? At least it lets the people behind me know I'm getting ready to do SOMETHING. People actually back off more when it's your flashers than your turn signal, keeps em guessing! jmg343 08-03-2005, 05:17 PM happened to me a while back...they replaced the multi function switch like sheep boy said (sorry partsguy I had to, first thing that came to mind without scrolling up)...didnt fix the problem at first, suddenly it stopped happening though a few weeks later. hasnt done it since. BillB3857 08-03-2005, 06:42 PM Mine started doing that while on vacition pulling my 5th wheel. Not good! Took it to a dealer in Kingsport, TN and even though they couldn't duplicate the problem, they replaced the multi-function switch. Did it again on the way home. Found that it would repeat about 15 min into a trip. Timed my trip to the dealer and was able to show it to him. Explained what had already been done and provided the paperwork. They contacted GM and this is what GM said: [B]Service VME-Hazard Light Flashes When Turn Signal Applied - kwGMT800GMT820GMt830 lamp flash left right contact switch apply function switch #PI01946-(04/01/2004) [B] (SNIP) Service VME Some customers may comment that their hazard light flashes with either the left or right turn signal is applied. Root cause appears to be in the flasher contacts and not in the multi-function (turn signal) switch. Fix is to replace the hazard lamp flasher (P/N 15764135) and not the multifunciton switch. (Snip) They follow with a list of vehicles to which this fix applies. In general, any 03-04 GM truck. | ||
