Hello,

A frend of mine just swapped his 4.3 Mercruiser for a 6.2 n/a.
Only to find out that his prop is slipping now!! and he can't make any speed.
New prop didn't help so he is just spinning in the water.
Question is: dus anyone have the horsepower/torque curve's in .jpeg from lets say a 4.3 and 5.0 and 5.7 stock 1985 mercruiser blocks?? so we can compere it to the curve of a 6.2 to see if it's just the added Kg or it has to do with dieseltorque.

Maybe someone can shine a light on this for us.

check over at check here (http://www.offshoreonly.com) they may be able to help better. You will more then likely have to go to a higher pitch prop or a prop with more blades.
