GM on Monday had said it would not renew the employee-discount promotion it pioneered, instead lowering sticker prices. Tuesday, the company reversed course to match its rivals in extending the programs. All of the plans had been set to expire Monday.

Wonder if they'll include 06's doesn't seem to be any 05's left.

I was at the dealer yesterday and there really not any 2005 at all.
Plus who wants an 05 now anyways now that the 06's are coming out.

I have talking to a couple dealers about a 2006 Express van with the diesel. They want me to sign the order for the full retail price, meaning no traditional discount. "Because" they say... they don't know what kind of incentives might be in place when the van arrives two months from now.

They complain about how bad business is and yet they can't even give you a price on a custom order vehicle.

I hope that doesn't mean that they want you to agree to pay full MSRP upon arrival... They may not know what the incentives are going to be, but you should still be able to talk them down to invoice...

They won't know the final price until it is built, but you should be able to build one up on www.gmbuypower.com (http://www.gmbuypower.com) to give you a good idea.

I was told that they would continue the family deals for the rest of summer. There won't be any 2006's at that price but there won't be any 2005 trucks left either. It is a good way to get rid of the '05's and get buyers in the door to see the 05's but then up sale to an '06.
There are still plenty of other 2005 Chevys to buy... just no full size trucks.
I am very happy I got mine! :ro)

The Big Three have taught us to expect deep discounts of one type or another. Don't any of us go running out and buying 06's for MSRP or anything like that. Remember your education.

Forgeting the education...won't matter. The empty wallet will deter any attempts of buying an '06:mad:

I would bet they will extend it to the 2006's, watching the news last night and Ford is offering it on all 05's and select 06's which included the Super Duty- of course the 06 Super Duty has been out on the dealers lots for six to eight weeks.
