Its the further devellopment of the "Fischer/Tropsch-Synthese" to gain Diesel out of coal for example... Now its possible to gain Diesel out of all kinds of biomass!
SouthAfrica still gains 70% of its fuel needs with this (forced to do it in times of Apartheit)
After WW2 Germany wasnt allowed to run this technology and installations were destroyed... (u may know why;)
