I have an 02 D/A. Monster exhaust and nothing else. It has 75,000 miles. It is doing something weird. I will try to explain. When coming to a complete stop it has a strange vibration. No it's not brakes or anything brake related. It feels like the engine does not come off of idle well enough and you are breaking against the transmission or something. As soon as the truck stops completely the vibration goes away, or I could say that the motor idles smoothly. Now if I let off the brakes and let the truck start to roll a little then you apply brakes you can feel the roughness until you completely stop again...Any thoughts or questions??

I had a similar issue but it was more of a bumping than a vibration. Solution: Remove the drive shaft and grease the slip yoke splines with red grease acquired at the stealership. All the service writers told me the same thing but it took three times greasing it to get the right grease. As I said this may not be the same symptom you are experiencing.

When you say it feels like it is "braking against the transmisison", so you mean that it feels like it's not coasting and still under power? Like power-braking it? Do the revs drop off, or do they stay up?

A bumping sensation is probably more like it. It almost feels like the tires have 150 psi in them and the road is large gravel. Driveline is worth a try. So hard to explain, but it sure isnt right.
