IF I REPLACE MY CENTER SEAT/FOLD DOWN CONSOLE WITH A TRUE FLOOR MOUNT CENTER CONSOLE, WHAT OTHER PARTS DO I NEED TO MAKE THIS WORK? I KNOW I WILL HAVE TO GET THE SMALLER DASH/GLOVEBOX SECTION ON THE PASSENGER SIDE, BUT...........IS MY HEATER VENTS GONNA BE AFFECTED? AND IS THERE ANY OTHER THINGS I NEED TO CONSIDER. I AM CURRENTLY BIDDING ON A CENTER CONSOLE UNIT ON EBAY RIGHT NOW THAT CAME FROM A 2002 SUBURBAN OR TAHOE INCLUDING THE PIECE THAT GOES ALL THE WAY TO THE DASH, I JUST NEED TO KNOW IF I AM LEAVING ANYTHING OUT. I DONT WANT TO PULL MY INTERIOR APART JUST TO FIND OUT THAT I NEED A FEW MORE PARTS TO WORK................PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! THIS UNIT WILL GO IN A 2004 CREWCAB.:help: :help: :help: :help:

The duct that delivers air to the back of the console is fed from a rectangular opening at the bottom of the heater box. The opening points downward and has a 90 degree adapter attached to it with 2 screws. The console duct mates to this adapter. There is a movable air door in the bottom of the heater box that's exposed when the 90 degree adapter is removed.
I haven't inspected a truck that came from the factory without the console, so I don't know what you have. You heater box could be different, or the 90 degree adapter could be missing or different. Worst case is the air to the console rear ducts wouldn't work.
If your console includes the radio control I would expect that your truck does not have the wiring to use it.

Too bad your on the exact oppoiste coast. I am in Surrey Canada and am doing the opposite. I am trying to put the seat in and would like your spare parts.
KNow of anyone in the north west looking to trade? I am putting a seat in.

Sorry for not replying Adam i guess i forgot to subscribe. My consul is the pewter/dark grey. It wont have any power outlets or rear seat entertainment center in it. I figure its worth $275 cdn you pay the freight.

Adam, I also have a dark pewter console available; it's complete and includes the mounting bracket; If you're interested, let me know . . . whereas I'm in Maine, shipping would not be an issue.

AHHH!! DONT BID ON THAT 2002 CONSOLE!!! Its completely different from the 2003 and newer consoles. It wont fit. I have TWO consoles that Im trying to get rid of...my stock charcoal gray console, and a tan Escalade console (with the super cool fancy clock and all).
