Whoo Hooo, I picked up my new Denali HD today. Let me tell you this is one sweet truck. Anyone who is still waiting for theirs, let me be the first to say, it is worth the wait. You won't be disappointed.

I gotta say, the only thing that really sucks with this truck is the mirrors. That bottom convex mirror is totally worthless. I wish they had an option for a full length regular mirror.

I thought I would like these mirrors better than my 2005 GMC I had, now I kind of wish I could put those mirrors on this truck. Oh well, I just hope this is the worst of my problems.

You'll get used to the mirrors. Actually once you dial in that bottom mirror, you'll like it more and more. It took me a few tries though to get it just right. I wish the bottom part was motorized.

My biggest issue with the mirrors is making sure to look around them when making a left turn....huge blind spot.

Those are mirrors you will grow to love, i went though that as well…lol…

If you tow, you can set the passenger side convex facing out. That way if your towing a long trailer and make a right turn, you can still see the tires and rear of the trailer after it has gone out of the regular/top mirrors field of view. that's when you most people hook a curb or worse with thier trailer. I also put a round convex mirror on both of my top mirror's that allows me to see the traffic in the left and right lanes as well as the sides and rear tires on our truck. They really are great mirrors, I had been using Shefeneckers before and like these better.

I have never liked sunroofs in a vehicle, so that is about the only option I did not order.Here are the options that I ordered on my truck.


Z71 package
20" wheels
Bose audio/navigation system

trailer wiring provision
winter front cover
6" oval step bars

The tonneau cover is an Access Larado and the bed rails are Putco pop up lockers that I installed. These were not factory.

Nice truck man mine come in tomorrow and I can't wait I had those mirrors on my 07 6.0L and as everyone has said they grew on me and I wouldn't tow without them I don't remember if If mine has them or not but if it doesn't that will be one of the first thing I do. You can order the other mirrors from your dealer.

2500 SRW. At the moment I only pull a utility trailer, a 23' bumper pull Prowler, and a flatbed trailer that I tow a Chevy Blazer on. I'm not a fan of DRW anyway.

I have 6 payments left on the 06' and can't deal with looking at 72 new ones on that price for a truck. Mine's going to run until that motor falls out and get a new one. Enjoy yours though it's fun to get them.

That's the way to do it with these trucks. I'm planning to drive mine until 2021, and maybe beyond.

How long from the time you placed the order did it take to come in? I am buying a guys 07 lbz cc/lb but I have to wait for him to get his new lml. He was told 6-8 weeks when he ordered it. It has only been like 3 weeks and I cant wait just to get my (new to me) used truck I would really go nutts waiting for a brand new one lol.

I ordered mine September 20 and received it November 1.

so like 6 weeks damn I was hoping they tell people 6-8 weeks and it really takes like 4 most of the time.

Nice truck. I have the same one. It is a very well done truck. I still haven't figured out the mirrors yet though.

No it doesn't and it's right where if I went over a decent size rock or hit something in the road boom no more def tank
