There was a pic or two a few months back about this, I think it was in this forumn. I will do a search and see what I come up with.

I found the post. I was wrong. There is no pic, but a pretty good verbal description of what needs to be done (and most importantly...why).

You're want to take a small 1" or so wide ratchet strap and use it to pull down on the centerlink (the pitman and idler arms are hooked to it). To do this, first take off the plastic skidplate and aluminum front differential skidplate. Then hook one end of the ratchet strap (J-hook or S-hook) to the backside of the crossmember (the one that the lower a-arms hook to) and run the strap on the underside of the crossmember then up and around the centerlink and back down and back under the crossmember then hook the other end of the ratchet strap to the backside of the crossmember. Then ratchet until it's as tight as you can get it. You should see the centerlink move down (toward the ground) as you're tightening the ratchet strap.

will this help the tie rods?

i cant get a set of tie rod sleeves before the pull saterday, and would like to know if the straping of the front end will help in not breaking anything?

ok, tried that tonight. Seem to have helped some but I still have some toe-in. I have the sleeves and I straped the bastard as hard as I could with a 2" strap but it moved only like 1/2"-3/4". Should I see more movement?

Could a worn pitman and/or idler contribute to the problem?

Did you lower your torsion bars in addition to strapping the c-link. Just lowering the torsion bars all the way makes an unbeliveable differance.

I cant get my hands on a trailer for upcom9ing pull how would one go about the trosions bars setup and still be able to drive to the track. (1 hour drive)

Take a jack and an 18 mm socket and ratchet with you and lower them at the pull.

I lower mine until the key (the key is the forged part around the end of the torsion bar, that the bolt actually pushes on.) bottoms out on to the crossmember, then screw in 1 turn, just to preload the bolt so it doesn't rattle out. Make sure you count the # of revolutions as you turn the bolt, so as to return them to the same spot they started at. I've drivin my truck as far as an hour with the bars cranked down, with no problems, otherwise take a floor jack with you to the event.
